Sacramento has been chosen as a host city for a Navy Week Celebration July 16-22nd, giving area residents an opportunity to meet some Navy Sailors and learn about the Navy's critical mission and capabilities. Don’t miss your chance to catch demonstrations by the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team including an interactive and fully operational robot and a 76 lb bomb suit, view Navy Tour displays with Immersa-Domes that give 180-degree simulations of the sights, sounds and smells of being on an aircraft carrier, and experience Blue Angel F/A-18 Flight Simulators that present a pilot’s perspective of an aircraft carrier take-off and landing combined with low level flying.
Museum visitors will have the chance to explore the open cockpit of a MH-60S Seahawk Helicopter used for combat search and rescue, special warfare support, and airborne mine countermeasures.
