I read all types of books. Fiction, Sci-Fi, Horror, mystery, romance.
Some favorites of mine are:
Michael Connelly: Gritty Detective novels
Laurell Hamilton: Hard to pin down a certain type, just an awesome writer -Fantasy Plus
Bertrice Small: Queen of the Historical Romance who is now dabbling a bit in alternate worlds and some contemporary books which are very good.
Jonathon and Faye Kellerman: Married, writing 2 different series, both awesome
Angela Knight: Queen of the erotic fantasy novels
Has anyone read the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini? I saw previews for the new Eragon movie. Makes me want to read the books!

I like Chrichton as well. If you like him, you would like Douglas Preston and Lincoln Childs http://www.prestonchild.com Riptide was one of the best stories I ever read. Very suspensful to the very end. They also wrote Relic, which I heard was made into a movie. I have not seen the movie, but the book was excellent. http://www.prestonchild.com
Happy Thanksgiving!

"Threshing Floor" by Prophetess Juanita Bynum;
"Even as your Soul Prospers" by Bishop Thomas Weeks; and
"10 Spiritual Principles of Successful Women" by Victoria Lowe.
This is just to name a few. I have always loved to read and Teach my children the same. I sometimes don't feel like reading but I make sure that I read something to them especially when their asking for me to read. Ilove to hear my 6 year old son reading, it is so rewarding.

Basically I'm after singular examples of quality online writing (no fiction, thanks, I have more than enough of that), not necessarily for the beauty of the prose or even for the content of the story - I just want one of those (preferably big) articles you can't stop reading, and at the end you want to show it to everybody you know because it's just so amazing, and you wish you had read it sooner.
