Lyndsie Harris of Sacramento has something to cheer about. The senior at Sacramento's Kennedy High School has received a perfect composite score on the ACT college entrance exam.
California Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell visited the school Wednesday to congratulate Harris. She is one of only five California students and one of 26 in the United States to achieve a perfect score after taking the ACT test in December 2006. About 351,000 students took the test nationwide at that time.
The ACT exam covers English, math, reading, writing and science. Typically it takes students more than three hours to complete the exam.
