West Sacramento police reported a possible mountain lion sighting on the Stone Lock property on South River Rd near Riva. Apparently it was seen by a contractor on that property two days in a row.

Don't throw tomatoes, but I feel sorry for the animals. We keep expanding, going out into their territory and then we get upset when they end up in ours. I can't help it; where are they supposed to go?

That said, watch your kids and definitely bring in your pets as Eric said.

No tomatoes coming from this direction... Living near the rivers and parkways, it's something we have to keep in mind. There are mountain lions, coyotes, rattle snakes, etc. that we have to remember to watch out for and, like this case, alert others to.

Thank you! It's one of my peeves, I guess you could say. Some folks get so angry about those critters but it's the humans invading their space. I feel the same way about the Indians and the Army way back when.

Yeah, people who get upset about that are pretty ridiculous. It's like people who move next to an airport and then complain about the noise.

The thing is, mt. lions don't typically live in such populated areas, so they need to be removed and hopefully relocated up past Auburn somewhere. At least that's where they take rattlesnakes.
