The problem I think these groups are going to face is the economical reality. The taxpayers are maxed out. We aren't going to pay for a new arena. I'd love to have the Kings stay, but I don't have a dime to build an arena.

We did okay before they were here and we'll survive if they leave. That's how I feel. I am not going to pay for a new arena, so unless a bunch of wealthy types decide to fund it, farewell Kings.

A lot has changed since the 70s/80s! Much of the Natomas area relies on ARCO events, specifically Kings games, for 20% of their business. If the Kings move, that's 1000 jobs lost right away, then it trickles down.

This is a good read: http://misssacrament...ento-residents/

Maybe Natomas needs to work on solutions then. I'm all for the Kings staying but they need to be proud of The Pavillon and stop the new arena push. That's the deal. We aren't going to build a new one, not right now.
