The fans managed to sell out Arco last night, and the Kings even won, but was it all for naught? Does a single game matter? The Maloofs were around, but they really had nothing to say about anything.

Following up here ... it was interesting to see the media reaction about the Maloofs. Fans seemed excited about the game, the Maloofs were at least there, but the consensus I've read is that the hope is lessening. Even the mayor is now talking about Sacramento deserving a team, but he's no longer insisting that team is the Kings.

My thought was that it would take more than one sellout to convince owners to stick around. One sellout is nice, but it's not maintained. I think they're gone.

You would think that losing fans, loyalty and revenue would convince them. Obviously Anaheim is offering a ton of interest free cash, but that doesn't put them ahead. It just helps them pay off Sacramento so they can move. Good luck being a third rate team in SoCal when they can be first in our city.

That's one of the better arguments I've heard for them staying, actually. They are the leaders here; they'll be #3 there, if not even further down on the pole.
