SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 1, 2015 — While many will be celebrating Easter and collecting eggs at the Capitol Saturday, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® and The Fish radio will be collecting donations.

They are ramping up efforts for the Movers for Moms® drive benefiting WEAVE. The first of a series of Movers for Moms® remotes will kick off at the State Capitol during Sacramento’s attempt capturing the world record title for the largest Easter egg hunt.

The public is encouraged to join in by dropping off wish list items such as shoes, socks and toiletries at Movers for Moms® collection sites. A complete wish list and other participating drop off locations can be found on the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Sacramento website.

At the live remotes, local radio station The Fish will be providing music and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® mascot, Truckie, will be hanging out and posing for pictures with families that stop by.

The remote runs from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and then every Saturday at participating Walgreens in Folsom, Sacramento and in Granite Bay this month.

Every year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Sacramento and the Sacramento Association of Realtors collect thousands of food and clothing items for the Movers for Moms® to give mothers in crisis a special Mother’s Day. Last year, they were able to gather and donate about 12,000 items to the shelter and nonprofit.

The 8th annual Movers for Moms® runs until May 7, when all items are collected from drop-off sites and delivered to WEAVEWorks. Additionally, a group of stylists provided by Paul Mitchell’s cosmetology school will also be onsite to give selected women makeovers.

More than 295 TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations in 38 states take part in this community-supported program. Last year was the program’s most successful year-to-date, with more than 220,000 items collected for donation to hundreds of shelters across the country.
