Thitikul seals victory at Mizuho Americas Open for second straight year
World No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul (23) captured her second consecutive Mizuho Americas Open title on Sunday at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, New Jersey. The Thai star, a former world No. 1 who won the event in 2025, finished four strokes ahead of China’s Yin Ruoning.
The 23-year-old carded four birdies and one bogey to complete 72 holes at 13-under par with a total of 275 strokes. “It means the world, it means so much to me,” Thitikul said. “I called my coach before a practice round and forgot everything—that helped me a lot.”
Longtime coach Kris Assawapimonporn advised her to ease off the pressure and let go of her worries.
This victory marks Thitikul’s ninth LPGA career title and her second of the season, following her win at the LPGA Thailand in February. She now sets her sights on her first major title at the U.S. Open in June.
The top Latin American finisher was Mexico’s Gaby López, who tied for third place at 8-under par alongside three other players.
