The list, published by Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, includes star player Neymar, currently with Santos. This inclusion has revived hopes regarding his participation in the tournament, especially after he was absent from Ancelotti’s selections during recent international breaks. This comes despite recent doubts about his future with the national team, largely due to prolonged periods sidelined by injuries and reduced international appearances in recent months.
The 55-player list also features several top stars of the Seleção, including Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior, Barcelona’s Raphinha, and veteran defender Thiago Silva. Ancelotti is expected to trim the squad in the coming weeks, reducing it to just 26 players before the final roster submission deadline on June 2. The World Cup is set to kick off on June 11.
