Dejan Radonjic, head coach of Zenit St. Petersburg, shared his thoughts ahead of the VTB United League semifinal series opener against UNICS Kazan. The first game is set to take place on Monday, May 11, in Kazan.
“Today we play the first semifinal match against UNICS. We expect a very difficult and extremely physical game. A lot will depend on our defense. At the same time, on offense we need to read the game well and control the tempo. Of course, our concentration must be at the highest level from the first to the last minute,” Radonjic said, as quoted by the club’s press service.
The game tips off at 18:00 Moscow time. In the other semifinal, defending champion CSKA Moscow will face Lokomotiv-Kuban.
